Eve Keates of Alix was honored with a Caring Canadian Award on January 17th. The award was presented to Keates by Governor General Michaelle Jean at a ceremony in Calgary. Keates was honored for her work with the Alix museum society and the Alix Agricultural society and for having helped establish the Alix food bank. Congratulations go out to Ms. Keates on her award.
