Outdoor skating rinks are a staple of prairie culture.  Many outdoor rinks are maintained by the various communities in the Heart of Alberta.  We encourage young and old alike to get out and get some exercise on ice.

The Town of Stettler maintains a full outdoor arena, complete with boards, nets and backstop mesh, northwest of the Stettler Recreation Centre.  Users are reminded to obey the rules and regulations and to be curteous to others when using the rink.  Call the Town of Stettler Parks & Leisure office at 742-4411 for more information.  In off season the outdoor rink is converted to a skateboard park with ramps and many other features.
