| Rochon Sands Faced With $46,000 Bill |

Last fall the Summer of Village of Rochon Sands abandoned its' application to annex less than a quarter section of land from the County of Stettler and decided to pursue a fresh application, based on a recent growth study, to annex 450 acres from the County. As a result of abandoning the initial application, the summer village is now faced with potentially paying the County's costs that were incurred with respect to the abandoned application. The County is now seeking $46,000 in costs related to that application and Rochon Sands has until January 30th to respond to the application for costs. Both the costs application and the fresh annexation application are presently before the Municipal Government Board.
