If you look in the same general area, there are a lot of other faces and unusual shapes.

Hmmm, the coyote and gopher have a lot of traction, as would the snowy owl, whitetail deer, and moose.  Tough one to call.  Maybe the horse (in Alberta) because it could represent both domestic and wild animals in one mascot?
