Click on the arrow in the lower right corner to toggle the mini-map open or closed. Zoom and Pan controls are on the upper left of the map and one can also click and drag on the map, and mini-map, to pan around that way. You can also zoom in to where you hold your mouse with a double left click and zoom out with a double right click. You can also use the Map Marker links on the right to zoom in to that particular location and open up its associated information box.
